2000-2006 and 2007-2013 Periods

For the 2000-2006 and 2007-2013 periods, the funding received from the Cohesion Fund, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the TEN-T funding amounted to 11,146 million euros.

High-Speed Lines Funding

During the period 2000-2006, the following was co-financed:
- By the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the construction works of the Madrid-Seville line, with a funding of 267.3 million euros.

During the period 2000-2006, the following was co-financed:
- By the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the Andalusia Integrated Operational Programme, the line's construction works, with a funding of 883.6 million euros.

During the period 2000-2006, this line was co-financed:
- By the Cohesion Fund, which provided 3,342.9 million euros for track-bed construction on the Madrid - Barcelona section, as well as the supply and assembly of tracks on the Madrid - Vilafranca del Penedés section, and electrification, signalling and communications on the Madrid - Lleida section.
- By TEN-T (Trans-European Transport Network), which provided funding of 70.9 million euros for studies and projects as well as track-bed works on the Maçanet - Sils section.
During the period 2007-2013, this line was co-financed:
- By TEN-T which provided funds of 12.0 million euros for the implementation of ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System) on the Barcelona - Figueras section.

- By the Cohesion Fund, which provided 1,553.7 million euros for track-bed works on the Madrid – Valladolid (Valdestillas) section.
- By the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), which provided 193.3 million euros for track and facilities (electrification, signalling and communications) on the Segovia – Valladolid (Valdestillas) section.
- By TEN-T (Trans-European Transport Network) funds, which provided 20.6 million euros for studies and projects, and for track-bed and track works, on the Valdestillas – Río Duero section.
During the period 2007-2013, this line was co-financed:
- By the Cohesion Fund as part of the Operational Programmefor Cohesion Policy Funding – FEDER, with a funding of 177.6 million euros for facilities, track-bed, and track works.
- By the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), as part of the Operational Programme of Castilla y León, which provided 68.7 million euros for facilities, track-bed, and track works.

- By TEN-T (Trans-European Transport Networks), which provided 3.2 million euros for studies and projects.
During the period 2007-2013 this line was co-financed:
By the Cohesion Fund as part of the Operational Programmefor Cohesion Policy Funding – ERDF, which provided 126.4 million euros for track-bed works on the La Robla-Pajares Tunnels and Pajares Tunnels – Pola de Lena subsections.

During the period 2000-2006, the following was co-financed:
- By the Cohesion Fund, track-bed works on the Xátiva - Valencia section, several subsections of the Motilla del Palancar - Valencia section (Motilla del Palancar - Iniesta - Minglanilla, Venta del Moro - Caudete de la Fuentes y Requena - Siete Aguas), subsections of the Cuenca - Albacete section (Fuentes - Monteagudo de las Salinas - Solera de Gabaldón - Motilla del Palancar, Gabaldón - Villanueva de la Jara - Villalgordo del Júcar - La Gineta - Albacete), and for Phase I of the rail access to Alicante, with a funding of 573.5 million euros.
- By the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the Valencian Community Integrated Operational Programme, track-bed works on the rail access to Alicante/Elche, specifically the Sax - Elda - Monóvar - Novelda - Monforte del Cid - La Alcoraya subsections, with a funding of 99.4 million euros. Also, through theRegion of Murcia Integrated Operational Programme, track-bed and track works on the rail access to the city of Murcia, with funding of 28.4 million euros.
- By TEN-T (Trans-European Transport Network), studies, projects and track-bed works on the Buñol - Cheste - Aldaya - Picanya subsections of the Motilla del Palancar - Valencia section, with a funding of 48.2 million euros.
During the period 2007-2013, the following was co-financed:
- By the Cohesion Fund within the Operational Programme for Cohesion Policy Funds - ERDF, track-bed works on the Torrejón de Velasco - Fuentes section and the RAF Valencia Nudo Sur, Caudete - Sax, Alcoyara - Alicante subsections, and rail access to Albacete, with a funding of 725.8 million euros, and for the electrification of the Albacete -Nudo de la Encina section with a funding of 197.7 million euros.
- The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the Valencian Community Integrated Operational Programme, co-financed the majority of the track-bed works for the Monforte del Cid - Regino of Murcia Border section with a funding of 188.6 million euros; the supply and assembly of tracks on the Xátiva - Valencia section with 47.7 million euros, and acoustic protection on the Caudete - Alicante section with 8.4 million Euros. Through the Castilla-La Mancha Operational Programme, it co-financed the supply and assembly of tracks and facilities with a funding amounting to 248.9 million euros, and through the Murcia Operational Programme, several sections of track bed and facilities with a funding of 22.8 million euros.
- The implementation of the ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System) between Albacete and Alicante was financed with a funding of 3.2 million euros by the TEN-T (Trans-European Transport Network).

During the period 2007-2013 this line was co-financed:
- By the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the Galicia Operational Programme and the Operational Programme Cohesion Fund-ERDF, which provided 200.3 and 131.8 million euros, respectively, for track-bed works, consultancy and technical assistance on the Lubian – Ourense section.

During the period 2007 - 2013 this corridor was co-financed:
- By the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the Galicia Operational Programme, which provided 3.4 million euros for the completion of protection and security facility works on the tunnels of the Vigo - Santiago de Compostela section. Through the Operational Programme for Cohesion Policy Funding, ERDF provided 45.3 million euros for track assembly, and security and telecommunications facilities on the Villagarcía de Arousa - Padrón section; security and control facilities for the Vigo - Das Maceiras tunnel; security and telecommunications facilities on the Vigo - Soutomaior section, and access to the power lines at the Santiago substation.

- By TEN-T (Trans-European Transport Networks), with a funding of 16 million euros for studies and projects.
During the period 2007-2013, this line was co-financed:
- By RTE-T (Trans-European Transport Networks), with a funding of 45.8 million euros for the work on the track-bed of Arrazua/Ubarrundia - Elorrio and Abadiño - Galdakao sections, and a funding of 2.0 million euros for the final construction projects of the Elorrio - Bergara and Bergara - Arrasate/Mondragón section, and the design of the railway electricity supply equipment for the line.

During the period 2007 - 2013, the following will be co-financed:
By the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the OP forCohesion Policy Funding, track-bed works on the Cañaveral - Cáceres and Aldea del Cano - Mérida sections with a subsidy of 138.2 million Euros. Through the Extremadura OP, track-bed works on the Talayuela - Casatejada, Plasencia Station - Cañaveral and Cáceres - Aldea del Cano sections, supply and assembly of tracks on the Cáceres - Mérida section, civil protection and security facilities for the tunnels on the Plasencia - Badajoz section, consultancy and assistance as well as replacement of facilities with a funding of 171.7 million euros.

By TEN-T (Trans-European Transport Network) funds, studies and projects for the Talayuela – Portuguese Border section, as well as track-bed works on the Mérida – Badajoz – Caia section, with a funding of 35.9 million euros.

By the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), as part of the Operational Programmefor Cohesion Policy Funding, studies, projects and track-bed works with a fubding of 551.8 million euros.

By TEN-T (Trans-European Transport Network), geotechnical studies for Loja y Sierra Gorda Station and the Loja - Valle del Genil bypass, as well as for drawing up track-bed projects for the Quejigares - Valle del Genil section, with funds of 2.2 million Euros.

During the period 2007 - 2013, the following was co-financed:
By the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), as part of the Operational Programme for Cohesion Policy Funding, the creation of projects and track-bed works for the Vera - Los Arejos section, with a funding of 321.7 million euros. Through the Murcia Operational Programme, the creation of projects and track-bed works for the Alhama-Lorca section were co-financed by ERDF funds, with a funding of 25.5 million euros.

During the period 2007 - 2013, the following was co-financed:
By the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the Castilla y León Operational Programme, which provided 100.8 million euros, for part of the track-bed works on the Venta de Baños - Palencia - León section.

By TEN-T (Trans-European Transport Network) funds, which provided 18.9 million euros for part of the studies, projects and track-bed works on the Valladolid - Venta de Baños section.

The platform works for the extension of the Atocha - Torrejón de Velasco section, which will optimize the operation of the tunnel, have received European funds over the period 2007-2013 through the Cohesion Fund, within the Operational Program for Cohesion Policy Funding - ERDF, for an amount of 187.7 million euros.

During the period 2007-2013, TEN-T (Trans-European Transport Networks) co-financed the construction of the Mediterranean Corridor connection to he Madrid - Barcelona - French border high-speed line: Vandellós - Tarragona Area section, with a funding of 21.3 million euros (18.7 million euros correspond to the funding received by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda).
