Location and characteristics

On November 23, 2017, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/2177 of November 22, 2017, on access to service facilities and related services for railways, applicable from 2019, was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

Said regulation establishes detailed rules on the procedure and the criteria applicable to accessing service facilities and to the services provided therein, which are set out in points 2, 3 and 4 of Annex II of the Directive 2012/34/EU, as well as the basic procedures for processing and coordinating requests and the requirements for the publication of information.

  • Train sorting stations and training facilities, including shunting facilities
  • Service facilities for rail equipment removal/parking
  • Maintenance, cleaning, washing, etc.
  • Fuel supply
