Multiregional Operational Program for Spain ERDF 2014-2020

The ERDF General Management Office of the Ministry of Finance –as the ERDF management authority in Spain– after having evaluated the description of duties and procedures provided by the Spanish railway infrastructure manager (ADIF) in accordance with the file prepared by the management authority (meeting the criteria established in Annex III of Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1011/2014), entrusted ADIF with the duties included in the agreement signed by the general manager of European funds on April 17, 2017 and accepted by ADIF's president on May 8, 2017.

ADIF will act as an Intermediate Organism for ADIF's and ADIF Alta Velocidad's actions under the responsibility of the management authority, regarding the Multiregional Operational Program for Spain ERDF 2014-2020.

In 2018 ADIF approved 7 new ADIF Alta Velocidad (ADIF High Speed) operations, with a net eligible expense of 522.5 million euros, until a selected net eligible expense of 734.9 million euros was reached.

In 2018, a net eligible cost of 347.3 million euros was certified, which constitutes 47.2% of the total selected expenditure. The accumulated execution is 541.4 million euros, which represents 73.7% of the selected amount.

This cost has been certified in the following operations: Granada Phasing 14-20, Santiago Vigo. Actions, Galicia 4, Granada F3, Extremadura Phasing.

The general controller's office of the State Administration –through ADIF's delegated controller's office– has carried out two operational audits in 2018: Antequera-Granada high-speed line (Phase III Platform, Supplies, Track Assembly, Electrification and Installation) and Valladolid - Burgos high-speed line(track assembly, electrification and signaling and control systems). In both cases the result was: "Positive opinion".
