We live in a society that poses new needs that railways must respond to every day with specific high-quality, sustainable solutions that can also be assumed by the market as a new added value for the business supply generated by rail transport.

For more than ten years, Adif has played a leading role in the technological renovation of the sector, providing the necessary resources to make the infrastructure more accessible, safer and more sustainable, and to allow operators to deploy all of their potential to make the railway a more competitive means of transport, achieving the highest standards of reliability and safety.

The achievements obtained have meant that Spanish railway technology has been exported to international markets, where it is held in great prestige and is well received.
And its results are available to the industry and the markets, either in the form of specific collaboration in innovation projects or by sharing resources with other innovative companies that wish to join the Center for Railway Technologies. In addition, it offers a series of technological products and services that can be licensed to third parties and access to the infrastructure for tests and trials.

Ultimately, Adif is a public business entity that is committed to innovation, the environment and the industrial sector but, above all, to people, whose well-being is the aim of all of the company's efforts.

ADIF has technological products that can be used by interested companies.These products incorporate the most advanced technology and may be applied to railway networks anywhere in the world.

Incorporación de empresas al CTF

The Railway Technology Centre (RTC) located in the Andalusia Technology Park in Malaga concentrates ADIF's innovative activity and effort. This centre directs, plans and implements actions in the area of research, development and innovation for Adif.
With the creation of the CTF, Adif aims to place the Spanish railway system at the cutting edge of research, development and innovation in railway technology.
The Ralway Technology Centre has laboratories specialising in cutting-edge technologies, where it is possible to test and develop new systems and explore the improvement of current technologies.

Access to R+D+I infrastructures

The Railway Technology Centre (RTC) manages top-level infrastructures for running R+D+I activities in the rail sector. Part of these infrastructures are located at the centre itself and the RTC, in turn, manages others outside the centre.
